Deep Water · Experience · Session
A deeply guided session in water. Where the body experiences what words could not reach.
What is Deep Water Experience?
Deep Water Experience is a deeply guided, physically supportive session in which you are literally held by the water and figuratively held by me. You float in warm fresh water with magnesium, supported by a dedicated floatation system. There is nothing you need to do.
Where flotation therapy works autonomously, Deep Water Experience works in relationship. The nervous system regulates not only through sensory reduction, but also through co-regulation: the presence of a safe, quiet person who carries the process without taking it over.
The session is non-verbal. Conversation happens before and after the water. In the water itself: minimal touch, rest, stillness. Nothing more. Nothing less.
"The body doesn't only need rest. It needs the experience of being safely held."
How does a session unfold?
A Deep Water Experience session requires preparation on both sides. You start with an intake conversation, so I know where you stand. After that, the body takes over.
A conversation of +/- 30 minutes. What do you bring with you? What does your body need? Together we set the intention. There is room for medical context and any referral if needed.
+/- 60 minutes in warm fresh water. You are carried by the floatation system and guided by the water and me. Non-verbal, slow, present. The nervous system gets room to settle.
After the water: stillness, tea, space. Then a short closing conversation if needed. You don't just leave the session — you take the time to return before stepping back into your day.
Who is Deep Water Experience for?
Deep Water Experience is not for everyone, and that is deliberate. It is for the person who has already done the cognitive work — therapy, conversations, perhaps a guided medicine journey — and notices that something remains that words can't reach.
Deep Water Experience is NOT
Massage, a relaxation session, or a wellness treatment. Deep Water Experience is bodywork within a conscious framework, guided by someone with years of experience in somatic work and co-regulation.

I have worked for years with people in emotionally intense situations. My background as a consciousness worker comes together in Deep Water Experience. Being present without taking over — that is my work.
The science
Floatation-REST has been intensively researched over the past fifteen years. A 2025 systematic review covers 63 studies with around 1,800 participants and reports positive effects on pain, stress, mental well-being, and clinical anxiety.
What Deep Water Experience adds on top of this is co-regulation: the presence of a safe person who helps regulate the nervous system via the polyvagal response. This is the neurobiological basis of secure attachment, and it works beyond childhood too.

Experiences
"The Deep Water Journey was a special and deeply nourishing experience. In the water I felt a profound sense of coming home, as if the water around me synchronized with the water inside my own body.
Daniëlle's calm, grounded presence gave me the safety to let go and flow along. It felt as though she used the water to let energy drain away, creating space and balance again.
Looking back, I realized how valuable this experience would also have been as integration after my earlier truffle journeys. That is exactly why I would wholeheartedly recommend it to my own clients, as support in integrating a psychedelic journey."
"Honestly, I hadn't expected a session in the water to affect me this much. It became a truly special experience. From the moment I lay in the water, I felt completely safe and held. That allowed me to do something I normally find difficult: letting go of control and truly surrendering to the moment.
What surprised me most was how my body responded. Without having to do anything for it, I felt tension flow away and a deep relaxation arise that I had never quite experienced before. It was as if my body remembered something my mind had no access to.
I wish this experience for everyone, but perhaps especially for people who, like me, find it hard to let go, trust, or feel grounded. Daniëlle creates a warm, safe and professional environment in which you feel fully held. That makes this experience special not only during the session, but in the time afterwards too. I can recommend it wholeheartedly."
